Overview
A resident of Avon Lake, Abe Lieberman has been engaged in the practice of law since 1976. Abe is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University (B.S. in physics, with honors, 1972) and the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1976).

Admissions
Abe was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1976. He is currently admitted to practice in all state courts in the State of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is a member of the Lorain County Bar Association (Chair of the Real Estate Section 1994-2002).
Accomplishments
Abe was the Law Director for the City of Avon Lake for 8 years (from 2012 – 2019) and was the Assistant Law Director for the City of Amherst for 12 years (2000 – 2011). He is a past member of the Civil Service Commission of Avon Lake.
He is Rated AV in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest peer review ratings given for legal ability and ethical standards.
Abe is a member of the Board of Advisors of Commercial Lease Law Insider, a national publication. His articles have appeared in numerous publications, including Commercial Lease Law Insider, Shopping Center World, Crain’s Cleveland Business, and Shopping Center Management Insider. Abe has also spoken before many groups, including the Building Owners & Managers Association, International (BOMA), the Northeast Ohio Apartment Association and both the Cleveland and Lorain County Bar Associations.
Abe was a member of the Board of Directors of LifeShare Community Blood Services and the Chairman of LifeShare Foundation. He is currently a member of the committee advising the Community Foundation of Lorain County as to grants to be made from the LifeShare Legacy Fund.
He has also been President, Vice President and a Director of the Avon Lake Kiwanis Club and a Trustee of the Avon Lake Woodlands Homeowners’ Association.
