Overview

Gayle Reeves is an experienced Estate Planning and Elder Law attorney who focuses on long-term care, asset preservation, special needs, and estate planning. She is highly skilled in performing comprehensive estate and long-term care planning evaluations to determine the best strategies to meet the goals and objectives of her clients.

Gayle is the past president of the Lorain County Bar Association and currently serves as chair of its Legal Ethics and Grievance Committee. She is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association’s, Elder Law Committee, and the International Committee of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. In addition, Gayle is a VA accredited attorney. She presents CLE courses for the Ohio State Bar Association and the Lorain County Bar Association.

Gayle's dedication to serving her clients comes from her passion to help others, not only in her law practice, but in her volunteer work as well. She is the former board chair for the Community Foundation of Lorain County and the former board chair of Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio, where she also chaired the organization’s Strategic Planning Committee. While serving as the co-chair of the Second Harvest Capital Campaign, the group gained the funding to construct the building which houses its current distribution facility. Finally, Gayle serves on the Medical Ethics Committee for Kendall of Oberlin, a full-service and vibrant northeast Ohio life plan community.

Accomplishments

Gayle will receive the Leadership Lorain County’s 40th Annual Eric Nord Award for Excellence in Leadership at the Difference Makers Gala on Feb. 16, 2024.

In 2017, Gayle earned a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting from Board Source, a program designed to better meet the ongoing need for governance training among nonprofit organizations.

Gayle and Brian Frederick, former president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Lorain County, created and led the Board Chair Network of the Foundation.
